It’s been another rough couple of days. My extremely painful and gross medical condition is improving, but I had to go back and get it messed with yesterday and it HURT. That was some of the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life.

How We Got Here
Hello everyone! I just wanted to take some time today to tell you how we got here. Where is here? Here is this blog. A lot of things had to happen to bring me to create this blog, stringing together words every week for your hungry eyes. So let’s start from the beginning.
A Life Update
I’m going to make a confession. I am having a really long week and, although I have some blog ideas in the wings, I just can’t commit to sitting down this morning and writing one of them. I do want to get up a blog as I usually do on Friday, so I thought maybe a life update was in order.
What’s Wrong with the Online Book Community?
I have been going back and forth about whether or not to write this blog. Then, once I decided I would write it, I chickened out about posting it a little bit. Not because I care if I piss people off, but because I don’t want to seem… pretentious? Full of it? I don’t know.

The Unpopular Opinions Book Tag
I saw that someone did this tag and I thought “Hey, I want to do that.” So I’m doing it, regardless of whether I’m tagged or not.
Battle of the Books: Physical vs. Digital
eBooks got pretty big a few years ago, and now everyone is cashing in their 2 cents about whether the physical or digital book is better. Meet My Kitties: Triscuit
I know, I did not include Triscuit in my “Meet My Kitties Week.” Put your pitchforks down and let me explain…
Vegan, Vegan, Everything Vegan
Let’s take a break from our regularly scheduled book reviews to chat about some life changes I’ve had in the past year. Really, just one lifestyle change.
In December of last year, I decided to try going vegan for the month of January. I found out a week or so later that this is actually a thing called Veganuary. You know how you think of something brilliant then find out it’s been a thing forever? Kind of takes the wind out of your sails, but this program meant I had some sort of support and, more importantly, a sweet name to use when I explained to people what I was doing.
Man.
Hello followers.
I bet you thought you’d never see me again. I wasn’t even sure if you’d ever see me again, but here I am. I don’t know how to explain my absence. It was really just laziness I guess, and there’s really no excuse for it.
Houses, Food, and Other Excitement
Sup, blog. I’ve been meaning to post for a while but my schedule has been incredibly hectic the last few weeks. I haven’t gotten any sit around and do nothing days in a few weeks, and I feel really exhausted all the time. This is actually pretty welcome considering that a few months ago I was just sitting around waiting for time to pass, but I digress.
