Now that I’ve got my personal projects (blog, book, etc.) up and running again, I thought it would be a good idea to set bi-monthly goals for myself. I think these will keep me from getting stuck in a rut or choosing to do other, time wasting things (I’m looking at you, YouTube) that stagnate the work I want to do. I want to post these here to create a little accountability for myself. It’s almost like if I tell the world what I want to do I will be more likely to make it happen.
Let’s take a break from our regularly scheduled book reviews to chat about some life changes I’ve had in the past year. Really, just one lifestyle change.
In December of last year, I decided to try going vegan for the month of January. I found out a week or so later that this is actually a thing called Veganuary. You know how you think of something brilliant then find out it’s been a thing forever? Kind of takes the wind out of your sails, but this program meant I had some sort of support and, more importantly, a sweet name to use when I explained to people what I was doing.
I bet you thought you’d never see me again. I wasn’t even sure if you’d ever see me again, but here I am. I don’t know how to explain my absence. It was really just laziness I guess, and there’s really no excuse for it.
Uhhh, hey. Sorry. It’s been like, a real long time since I wrote anything. It’s not even that I’ve been really busy, it’s just I haven’t sat down to write anything. I’ve been meaning to, but I didn’t. Also, I didn’t have anything to write about BECAUSE…
I wonder if I should do like CURRENT SONG and CURRENT MOOD to each of my blogs livejournal style. Let’s try it.
So I know I haven’t been around. Life is hitting me pretty hard lately. I’m still trying to get through Dune but I’m constantly distracted by Gossip Girl, working too much, and trying to stay positive about things. It’s not easy.
